All the Treaties specified in the above 2 lists, with the single exception of that with Bulgaria, contain a clause or sub-clause defining the nationality of a ship.
The provision is always the same:-
"All vessels which, according to ... law, are to be deemed ... vessels, and all vessels which, according to British law, are to be deemed British vessels, shall, for the purposes of this Treaty, be deemed ... and British vessels, respectively."
